Q: Do I need to speak any english to take this course?
A: No! Many of my students do not speak English. The most important lesson to teaching is conversational. The lessons will focus on the building blocks that will enable you to speak English. The lessons will go at a pace you are comfortable with. You will learn new vocabulary and pronunciation. The lessons are fun and you will see how quickly you will learn the language.
Q: Can I try a lesson for free?
A: Absolutely! Our first meeting is free. The first meeting is both evaluative and informative. I will be able to tell in what direction I need to go to help you speak English. At the same time, it will give you an opportunity to see if you would be comfortable with me as your teacher. Learning a language requires a time commitment.
Q: Do I need to take a test before my first lesson?
A: No. In our first free meeting, I will be able to evaluate your needs and goals and focus your lessons accordingly. It is both an evaluative lesson, as well as an informative one.
Q: How does online classes work?
A: I teach using a free online voice software called Skype. It allows the teacher and student to interact as if they were talking on the phone. It allows for us to see each other which makes learning more fun.
Q: How long will my lesson be?
A: Each lesson is 60 minutes.
Q: What are your fees?
A: On my blog you can go to the fee schedule which will give you the fees on hourly lessons as well as my fees for the various packages.
Q: Is it cheaper to take an hourly lesson or a packaged lesson?
A: Packaged lessons are discounted.
Q: How many weekly lessons do you recommend?
A: The easy answer is the more the better, however this depends on your personal schedule. You want to find that happy medium where learning English fits into your lifestyle, and to not make it seem like a chore. Normally 2 to 3 lessons are suggested, but I would not suggest less than 2 lessons per week.
Q: How can I pay you?
A: I accept Papal where you have the freedom to link your bank account, credit card, and debit card to your PayPal wallet, then pay however you choose.
Q: Do I pay for lessons in advance?
A: Yes. All lessons hourly or packaged are paid for in advance of the lesson/s.

A: Absolutely! In between lessons you may e-mail me as many times as necessary if you have questions or concerns. This is included in the fee schedule and there is no extra charge for this service.
Q: Will I get lessons in advance to prepare me for the next lesson.
A: Yes. Before each meeting, you will receive by e-mail the lesson in preparation for our next meeting. You may e-mail me prior to the lesson if you have questions or concerns.
Q: Can I cancel a scheduled class?
A: Yes. I understand that sometimes you need to tend to priorities. I would appreciate a reasonable amount of time in advance for the cancellation. If possible, a 12 hour cancellation notice is preferable.
Q: Will I be charged for the cancellation?
A: No, if you have notified me of the cancellation in reasonable time. If you have not notified me of the cancellation, you will forfeit the lesson.
Q: What if I am late for my scheduled lesson?
A: That would depend on my schedule. If I do not have a student immediately following your lesson, you probably will be able to have your full lesson. In the event that I have a student immediately following, then your lesson will not be able to go over your scheduled time.
Q: Do I need any materials for my lessons?
A: No. I do not require you to buy specific books.
Q: Do I need a Web Cam
A: If you do not have a built in camera on your computer, it would be best to buy a web cam. In this way we can both see each other on the screen.
